Keweenaw Sauna Week
National Sauna Week in the Copper Country
Founded in 2021 by Finlandia Foundation National (FFN), National Sauna Week is an American celebration that occurs annually during the last week of February to build awareness and appreciation for the art of sauna, and Finnish/Finnish-American heritage. Landing during the mid-winter here in the Keweenaw, this is a perfectly timed season for sauna-appreciation! Sauna Week in the Keweenaw features a self-guided tour of local homestead saunas, in-person and online events hosted by FFN, local cultural events, and more!
